Personal Injury Litigation Attorney

About the Role:

A growing plaintiff-side law firm is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to join its litigation team. This opportunity is ideal for a motivated attorney with 4 5 years of California civil litigation experience who is looking to take ownership of cases work directly with clients and play a meaningful role in the continued growth of a dynamic practice.

The successful candidate will independently manage personal injury matters from intake through trial and resolution handling all phases of litigation including pleadings discovery depositions motion practice mediations expert discovery and trial preparation. This position offers substantial responsibility significant client interaction and the opportunity to advocate for injured individuals while working on complex and impactful cases.

Working alongside a collaborative team of attorneys and legal professionals you will have the opportunity to develop litigation strategy strengthen your advocacy skills and contribute directly to successful client outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of personal injury matters from intake through settlement trial or final resolution.
  • Draft and review pleadings motions discovery requests responses and legal memoranda.
  • Conduct and defend depositions including party witness and expert depositions.
  • Develop case strategies and evaluate liability damages and litigation risks.
  • Represent clients during mediations settlement conferences and negotiations.
  • Coordinate expert discovery and prepare cases for trial.
  • Advocate on behalf of injured clients throughout all phases of litigation.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients regarding case status and strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with litigation deadlines court rules and procedural requirements.
  • Collaborate with attorneys legal staff experts and other stakeholders to achieve favorable outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Active membership in the California State Bar.
  • Minimum of 5 years of California civil litigation experience.
  • Plaintiff-side personal injury experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong experience managing litigation matters independently.
  • Excellent deposition discovery and motion practice skills.
  • Outstanding legal writing analytical and oral advocacy abilities.
  • Experience with California state court filing systems and litigation procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality work product.
  • Ability to work collaboratively while taking ownership of assigned matters.
