Location: This is a full-time on-site opportunity based in Geneva Illinois offering a collaborative office environment where youll work closely with experienced attorneys and support staff while receiving hands-on mentorship.

Note: Applicants must be licensed to practice law in Illinois and have at least 2 years of personal injury litigation experience representing either plaintiffs or defendants.

Job Description

• Manage a personal injury litigation caseload from active litigation through resolution.
• Draft pleadings motions discovery responses and other litigation documents.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Attend court hearings mediations arbitrations and settlement conferences.
• Develop litigation strategy and evaluate liability damages and case value.
• Communicate regularly with clients opposing counsel insurance carriers medical providers and experts.
• Negotiate settlements while preparing cases for trial when necessary.
• Collaborate with attorneys and litigation support staff to deliver outstanding client outcomes.
• Handle approximately 60 to 80 active litigation files with values ranging from approximately $25000 to high six figures.
• Continue developing litigation and trial skills through direct mentorship from experienced attorneys.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois Bar license.
• 2 years of personal injury litigation experience.
• Experience representing either plaintiffs or insurance defense clients.
• Strong legal writing negotiation and courtroom skills.
• Excellent communication and client relationship abilities.
• Organized with the ability to manage multiple active files.
• Self-motivated coachable and committed to exceptional client advocacy.
