Personal Attendant Caregivers

Job Summary

The Caregiver role is a crucial position for those who rely on others for basic daily care such as bathing eating and personal hygiene. Caregivers typically work with elderly or disabled individuals in a facility or home care setting. We are looking for candidates in the following service areas;DOWNTOWNCENTRAL SAN DIEGO LA JOLLA ENCINITAS DEL MAR SOLONA BEACH.

Salus Homecare is looking for caregivers available to work 4 8 and 12 hour shifts available apply today-work tomorrow.

Caregiver Responsibilities:

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs such as showering bathing dressing and eating

• Assist clients with medications ambulation and mobility around the house or outside (doctors appointments walks etc.)

• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene

• Help clients complete physical therapy and other recommended exercises

• Do the clients shopping or accompany them when they shop if needed

• Perform light housekeeping duties that clients cant complete on their own including preparing meals

• Collect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers nurses doctors and family members

• Report any unusual incidents to nurses doctors and family members

• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency

Qualifications:

• Homecare Aide Certification (HCA) - This is a CA State requirement which involves registering as a Personal Attendant and providing Livescan fingerprints for a FBI Background check - Salus can help you with this process if you are not currently certified.

• TB Test - Must be within 90 days of start

• Must be able to legally work within the USA

• Physical capability to preform all job functions

• Safe driving record and valid auto insurance if you will be driving with clients

• Ability to speak write and read English is a requirement
