Job Summary

  • The PA PUC seeks an Application Architect with and SQL Server expertise to design and modernize PUC applications and provide enterprise solution architecture across Microsoft and Java-based platforms ensuring secure scalable maintainable and reusable application solutions.
  • This role leads the adoption of AI-augmented development: advanced GitHub Copilot usage across teams while accelerating delivery while upholding security WCAG accessibility and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed analysis planning and requirements definition for new PeopleSoft HCM functionality.
  • Develop functional architectures and models to meet evolving business requirements.
  • Conduct process improvement reviews analyzing system functionality operations logistics and personnel needs.
  • Map business processes to corresponding PeopleSoft functionalities.
  • Ensure applications align with business needs and collaborate with process owners to resolve issues.
  • Define data flow and ensure integration between business processes and systems.
  • Facilitate requirements gathering and user design sessions with key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate and coordinate project deliverables with other MTA groups such MTAIT Performance Management etc.
  • Collaborate with application designers to complete system enhancement designs.
  • Design and develop reports for HCM users.
  • Participate in testing of new functionalities including end-to-end testing and system integration testing.
  • Assist the team lead in defining staffing responsibilities and schedules for system enhancements.
  • Identify cross-team issues and coordinate their resolution.
  • Develop PeopleSoft queries to meet reporting needs.
  • Write complex DML and DQL SQL scripts for database queries.

QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION

  • Minimum 10 years of functional and technical experience in PeopleSoft HCM v9.2 or higher.
  • Extensive experience with the following PeopleSoft modules:
  • Human Resources
  • Compensation
  • Position Management
  • Performance Management
  • Learning and Development
  • Benefits Administration
  • Talent Acquisition Management/Candidate Gateway
  • Hands-on experience with PeopleSoft self-service functions.
  • Proven track record of full lifecycle PeopleSoft implementations (design build configuration testing and deployment).
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft Test Framework is a plus.
  • Ability to translate customer requirements into functional and technical designs.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify address and escalate risks and issues.
  • Experience reviewing project deliverables for completeness quality and compliance with established standards.
  • 10 years of experience in building moderate to complex PeopleSoft queries.
  • 10 years of extensive experience writing DQL and DML SQL scripts.
  • Experience with state government projects is preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills (written verbal and presentation).
  • Strong understanding of relational database design and functionality.
  • Experience in desktop/mobile computer support and troubleshooting software related problems.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Ability to work independently set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent oral written presentation and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2013 (Word Excel PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint version 2010 or higher
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project version 2010 or higher

Required Education:

Bachelors degree in information systems Computer Science or equivalent experience
