Director of People Services (Hospital HR Leader)

Location: Elko Nevada

Employment Type: Full-Time Exempt

A leading acute care hospital in northeastern Nevada is seeking an experienced Director of People Services to serve as the senior Human Resources leader for the facility. Reporting directly to the CEO and partnering closely with executive leadership this role will lead HR strategy employee engagement labor relations recruitment retention and organizational development initiatives for a workforce of 200 employees.

This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for an HR professional who thrives in a healthcare environment and is passionate about building a people-first culture.

• Serve as the strategic HR advisor to the CEO and executive leadership team.

• Lead employee engagement retention succession planning and culture initiatives.

• Oversee labor relations collective bargaining administration grievance management and union partnerships.

• Provide coaching and guidance on performance management investigations corrective action and conflict resolution.

• Direct recruitment onboarding workforce planning and retention efforts.

• Manage HR operations compliance leaves accommodations audits and policy administration.

• Analyze workforce metrics and implement data-driven improvement strategies.

• Lead employee development leadership training and organizational effectiveness initiatives.

• Supervise HR staff and foster a high-performance team environment.

• Manage departmental budgets and ensure compliance with employment laws and healthcare regulations.

• Bachelors degree in Human Resources Business Administration Healthcare Administration Organizational Leadership or related field.

• 7 years of progressive HR leadership experience.

• Experience across employee relations labor relations recruitment compliance and performance management.

• Experience advising senior leadership teams.

• Strong leadership coaching communication and conflict resolution skills.

• Experience supervising HR staff.

Preferred

• Acute care hospital or healthcare HR leadership experience.

• Direct union experience including collective bargaining administration and grievance management.

• Experience supporting organizations with 100 employees.

• SHRM-CP SHRM-SCP PHR or SPHR certification.

• Rural healthcare and workforce planning experience.

• Experience leading engagement and culture transformation initiatives.
