Job Summary

Are you a passionate HR professional who enjoys working across employee relations benefits and talent development TOMRA Collections is looking for a P&O Generalist to join our team and help drive a positive compliant and high-performing workplace across multiple locations.

 

Location: Shelton CT (Travel Required)

What Youll Do

As a key member of our P&O team youll:

  • Partner with leaders to provide guidance on employee relations policies and employment law
  • Ensure consistent and accurate interpretation of P&O policies across the organization and conducts regular audits to monitor and enforce compliance
  • Support benefits administration including invoicing open enrollment and vendor coordination
  • Assist with recruitment onboarding and background checks
  • Lead and support employee training and development initiatives
  • Provide advice and counsel to managers and supervisors regarding personnel practices policy and employment laws
  • Help manage performance programs and workforce planning efforts
  • Conduct investigations and support employee relations matters such as disciplinary procedures and appropriate corresponding paperwork/documentation
  • Maintain HRIS data and ensure compliance across all processes
  • Travel (up to 50%) to support teams across the Northeast

 

What You Bring

  • Strong knowledge of HR practices and employment laws
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (ADP Workforce Now a plus)
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus

 

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors 24 years HR experience OR
  • Masters 1 year HR experience OR
  • 6 years of relevant experience
  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
  • Experience in multi-state or decentralized environments is a plus
