Use Your Lived Experience to Empower Others as a Peer Specialist
This is a full-time benefit eligible position. The schedule is Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm.

As a Peer Specialist youll use your lived experience with behavioral health or substance use recovery to inspire hope support growth and walk alongside individuals as they build the life they want. Youll be part of a compassionate person-centered team that values your voice and the power of shared experience.

Key Responsibilities
Share personal recovery experiences and model healthy coping strategies
Support individuals in building confidence resilience and community connections
Assist with goal-setting and navigating treatment and support systems
Help individuals recognize and build on their own strengths
Participate as a valued member of the treatment team
Provide transportation support when clinically indicated; driving is an essential function of this position
Complete required state training supervision and certification processes (if not already certified)
Requirements Skills Knowledge and Expertise
High School/GED required
WORK EXPERIENCE
Must self-identify as a current or former consumer of behavioral health substance use or co-occurring disorder services
Must complete a state-approved training program pass a standardized examination complete certification process within 60 days of hire date and maintain ongoing certification as a Certified Peer Specialist through the MCB (MO). Required only when applicable.
A valid drivers license and agency established minimum automobile coverage required
