JOB DESCRIPTION:

SUMMARY OF POSITION

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Team Management and Supervision: Supervise and manage the daily activities of the CPRS team. Provide regular feedback conduct performance reviews and identify areas for further training and development.
• Training and Mentorship: Provide training coaching and mentorship to CPRSs ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to deliver exceptional peer support services.
• Program Delivery and Improvement: Monitor program delivery to ensure it is in line with our goals objectives and standards. Continually identify opportunities for program improvement and implement changes as necessary.
• Participant Support: Oversee the provision of peer support services to participants ensuring they receive the help and support they need. This could involve leading group sessions providing one-on-one support and liaising with other mental health services.
• Community Engagement and Networking: Build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations mental health services and other stakeholders. Represent our program at meetings forums and events.
• Administrative Tasks: Handle administrative tasks such as reporting documentation and scheduling.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Effectively communicate via written verbal in person and virtual methods.
• Deep understanding of the recovery process and the principles of peer support.
• Strong organizational and leadership abilities.
• Ability to handle sensitive issues with confidentiality and discretion.
• Demonstrated cultural competency and ability to work with diverse populations.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education Level

Years of Experience

Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a peer support or similar mental health setting is preferred

Certification/Licensure

• Certification as a Peer Recovery Specialist is required
• Must have a valid drivers license and access to reliable transportation
