Peer Engagement FellowRussian Speaking JewsJob Summary:TheMacks Jewish ConnectionNetwork(The Network) an agency of The Associated seeks aPeer Engagement Fellow forRussian Speaking Jewsto joinour new Peer Engagement Fellowship cohort. The Networks mission is to empower and support individuals to explore their own Jewish journeysinspiring them to form lasting connections to a diverse inclusive and vibrant Baltimore Jewish Network is dedicated to supporting underserved and marginalized identities within the Jewish community helping these individuals and families access Jewish life and feel a sense of belonging. Peer EngagementFellows will build relationships among community members with their shared identity and work alongside Baltimore Jewish institutions to create a more welcoming and inclusive is a part-time non-benefit eligible employment opportunity with an average of 10 hours of work per week. Please note this position is only eligible for MD Sick & Safe Leave. Please note this role is a hybrid opportunity with a mix of meetings out in the community in the office and working from this role you will:Build and sustain a relational network by engaging individuals and families who share an aspect of their identity in ongoing onetoone conversations (e.g. coffee meetings walks playdates).Design cocreate and facilitate gatherings that respond to the needs and interests of your focus regular connection with Network staff and actively participate in strategy sessions cohort meetings and learning fully in peer engagement trainings and shared professional community insights and feedback into organizational conversations to strengthen inclusive practices and partner with other peer engagers and Network staff through referrals shared learning and culturally responsive engagement outreach relationships and program participation using agencys a modest budget to support relational meetings and community were looking for:Were looking for a community builder who brings both lived experience and a desire to strengthen Jewish belonging for others. Ideal candidates will demonstrate:Shared identity lived experience and deep connection to the focus population of the relational skills and comfort engaging individuals and families across life convening facilitating or organizing small groups or gatherings (formal or informal).Ability to navigate both communityfacing work and collaboration with with ambiguity patience with systemslevel change and openness to with relationshipbased engagement and inclusion of diverse Jewish identities experiences and Jewish education or professional nonprofit experience is not Compensation and Support Fellows will receive:This position pays $25 per hour paideverytwo weeks in arrears. Weeklyhours can vary 8-12 with an average of 10 hours per week and no more than 40 hours per and relational engagement coaching and professional development supportand supervisionfrom Network staff and a cohort of fellow peer Peer Engagement Fellowship is a new initiative ofThe Networkand the structure will evolve with the program.
