The Pediatric Surgeon will provide compassionate high-quality care while practicing within the scope of their training licensure and credentials. This physician will collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve exceptional outcomes for patients and families.

• Practice medicine within the scope of licensure training and credentialing.
• Provide care consistent with established standards of care and quality guidelines.
• Assess plan implement and evaluate patient care appropriate to the age and developmental needs of the patient.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians advanced practice clinicians nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• MD or DO from an accredited School of Medicine
• Completion of an accredited fellowship program in Pediatric Surgery

• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a physician in the State of Oregon
• Board Certified or Board Eligible (must achieve certification within five years of training completion)
• DEA registration
• Current CPR certification

• Demonstrated expertise in the clinical management of pediatric surgical patients
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education
• Ability to meet department-specific training requirements
• Ability to work varied hours including on-call and callback responsibilities
• Must not be excluded from participation in Medicare or Medicaid programs

• Patient handling up to 35 lbs. without assistive devices
• Fine motor skills necessary to perform surgical and procedural duties
• Ability to perform CPR requiring 100125 lbs. of force
• Frequent sitting standing and walking
• Occasional bending stooping reaching and lifting

• Exposure to biohazardous materials body fluids and airborne particles
• Hospital and clinical care environment

• Vision and hearing sufficient to perform essential job functions (corrective devices permitted)
• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information effectively
