Pediatric Registered Nurse RN

CentralCare is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatric Registered Nurse (Pediatric RN) to provide full-time services at the 61st Medical Squadron located at Los Angeles Air Force Base. This is an excellent opportunity for a Pediatric Nurse to support our military members and their families as a federal civilian contractor.

Position Details:

• Pay: $55.00/hour $4.93/hour for health and wellness
• Benefits: Medical Dental Vision PTO Sick Leave
• Schedule: Full-Time Monday - Friday 0700-1600
• Contract Length: 1 Year Preferred (with opportunity to extend)

Pediatric Registered Nurse (Pediatric RN) Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive pediatric nursing care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Coordinate patient care to achieve optimal clinical outcomes quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with all standards of care policies and procedures within the Military Treatment Facility (MTF).
• Conduct physical exams and health histories for pediatric patients.
• Provide health promotion counseling and education tailored to pediatric needs.
• Triage and treat acute and chronic pediatric conditions per established guidelines.
• Administer medications wound care and other pediatric-specific interventions.
• Prepare and administer vaccinations for pediatric patients according to MTF protocols.
• Supervise and direct care provided by other healthcare professionals.
• Assign patient care based on scope of practice and skill level.
• Recognize and respond promptly to adverse signs and emergency situations.
• Communicate effectively with patients families and the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.

Pediatric Registered Nurse Qualifications:

• BSN Degree required
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
• Active unrestricted nursing license
• Pediatric experience strongly preferred
