Maintain pertinent records of specific tests performed and progress made Communicate and educate family concerning patient deficits ways to facilitate treatment and appropriate discharge plans Promote company mission and administrative policies to ensure the quality of care
Requirements:
- Current Texas State License as Speech Language Pathologist
- Current Texas Drivers License and reliable transportation
- One year of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist in an acute care or rehabilitation setting. Pediatric experience required
- Effective interpersonal relations and communication skills
- Knowledge of durable medical equipment
- Able to work in a patients home in various conditions
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- Proof of current CPR certification
- Ability to do heavy lifting bending pulling pushing and standing. Prolonged standing and walking are required
- Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and patient needs and to meet patient/family individualized psychosocial needs
