The Smiley Tooth Pediatric Dentistry is a well-established multi-doctor pediatric practice dedicated to providing high-quality dental care to children in the Rockwall and Sulphur Springs communities. Our team consists of experienced pediatric dentists supported by highly trained dental assistants who work together to create a positive and comfortable environment for patients and families.

Our doctors have built strong relationships within the community and maintain a high standard of clinical care while seeing a steady patient flow.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Pediatric Dentist to join our growing team. The associate will work across both Rockwall and Sulphur Springs locations and collaborate with our existing providers to deliver exceptional pediatric dental care.

This role begins at 3 days per week with the opportunity to grow to 4 days per week as patient demand continues to increase.

The ideal candidate is confident in treating pediatric patients and experienced with oral sedation procedures outside of residency training.

Rockwall Location

  • 80% PPO
  • 20% Medicaid

Sulphur Springs Location

  • 40% PPO
  • 60% Medicaid
Sedation Procedures

The practice regularly performs sedation dentistry and the incoming provider must be comfortable performing oral sedation.

Sedation protocols include:

  • Hydroxyzine
  • Demerol
  • Chloral Hydrate
Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive pediatric dental care
  • Diagnose and treat dental conditions in children and adolescents
  • Perform restorative preventative and emergency procedures
  • Perform oral sedation procedures when appropriate
  • Educate patients and parents on oral health and preventive care
  • Maintain accurate patient records using digital practice management systems
  • Collaborate with other providers and staff to ensure quality patient care
Qualifications
  • DDS or DMD from an accredited dental school
  • Completion of an accredited Pediatric Dentistry Residency
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified Pediatric Dentist
  • Active or eligible for a Texas dental license
  • Experience with oral sedation outside residency
  • Strong communication and patient management skills

Requirements

DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school

Completion of an accredited pediatric dentistry residency

program

Active state dental license and specialty license in Pediatric

Dentistry (if applicable)

Current BLS and PALS certification

Experience and comfort working with children of all ages

including those with special healthcare needs

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a

compassionate kid-focused demeanor

Proficiency with pediatric dental technologies and digital

charting systems

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fastpaced team-oriented practice
