PE Teacher

The person in this position is under the general supervision of the building administrator and is responsible for teaching PE to students in grades 9-12.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

1. Current Oregonsecondary teaching license;
2. PE endorsement;
3. Demonstrated positive classroom management skills;
4. Ability to capably implement District curriculum and state standards;
5. Knowledge and skills in instruction / learning methods and techniques;
6. Ability to meet the Junction City School District Standards of Competent Teacher Performance and the Oregon Standards for Professional Educators;
7. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively and collaboratively with colleagues support staff administrators students parents and patrons;
8. Responsibility to know understand and adhere to District policy;
9. Possession of or ability to obtain a current first aid / CPR card.

QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED

1. Successful PE teaching experience;
2. Secondaryteaching experience;
3. Experience with Professional Learning Community Model;
4. Knowledge and experience in teacher effectiveness effective school practice and discipline techniques;
5. Experience utilizing Positive Behavior Support system.
