Position Summary:
The Parking Spots is now hiring for a newly created Payroll Specialist role to join our Payroll team in Chicago! In this role youll gain exposure to payroll audits and reconciliation processes for an organization with 2000 employees in a multistate environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and issue weekly payroll ensuring timely and accurate updates adjustments and compliance with internal policies
- Review and audit payroll data in UKG investigate discrepancies calculate retroactive payments and coordinate with management to resolve issues
- Audit and approve timecard changes in the Workforce Management system; monitor timesheet and leave request status and follow up on missing or unapproved entries
- Generate payroll reports conduct regular data audits and support internal and external reporting needs
- Responsible for post-payroll duties including but not limited to assembling the general ledger report storing payroll registers and communicating with Controller and Finance partners
- Manage the payroll inbox by responding to administrative tasks and requests including resetting passwords reviewing the accuracy of all data and deductions and ensuring proper
- Manage uncashed check and rapid pay card processes
Knowledge Skills & Experience Required:
- 2-3 years of experience processing payroll with an hourly workforce
- At least 1 year of experience with UKG Pro and Workforce Management
- Detail-oriented with respect to payroll and HR data
- Organized individual with strong follow-through skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to help a large employee base
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workload in a busy environment
