The Department of Corrections Division of Administrative Services is recruitingfor a Payroll Services Assistant Manager position located in Juneau Alaska.

What You Will Be Doing:

This position provides strategic training oversight and direction for the Department of Corrections payroll services acting as the departments primary subject matter expert on complex payroll matters. The position establishes payroll policies training manuals/materials and standards ensures consistent statewide application of laws and collective bargaining agreements and provides final review mentoring and guidance on complex payroll issues grievances and compliance matters.

Any combination of preparatory post-secondary education and/or progressively responsible professional level experience providing payroll production and/or operations support to a business or organization human resource management business administration public administration or similar business field.

Training and education in this guidance are synonyms for the process of acquiring knowledge and skills through instruction. DPS will deny security clearance for any applicant who has been convicted of a felony or misdemeanor in this state or another jurisdiction or who may be a fugitive from justice. Additionally security clearance will be withdrawn if DPS discovers that material information was falsified or omitted at the time of the initial application for security clearance.
