Payroll Manager – Hybrid | DMV Area

Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a midmarket organization in the DMV area to identify a Payroll Manager for a hybrid role. This position supports a stable payroll environment and works closely with Accounting and HR leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage biweekly payroll processing for a midsized employee population
• Oversee payroll compliance reconciliations and reporting
• Serve as the primary payroll contact for employee inquiries
• Partner with Accounting on payroll entries and monthend close
• Support benefits administration and timekeeping processes
• Maintain payroll systems and vendor relationships

Qualifications

• 5 years of payroll experience
• Experience with payroll systems outside of Workday (construction or midmarket ERP a plus)
• Knowledge of multistate payroll and compliance
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment (4 days onsite)
