Patron Services Operations Manager

Job Description

The Patron Services Operations Manager provides leadership and oversight for front-of-house operations at the Center for the Arts at Virginia Tech; including patron services rental event management and concessions. Reporting to the Director of Ticketing and Patron Services this position manages front-of-house operations and staffing while ensuring exceptional patron experiences. The Manager supervises student and wage staff collaborates with internal and external stakeholders and serves as a key operational leader in support of the Centers performances and events.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in arts administration business event management hospitality management theater management or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
- Customer service and conflict resolution experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks coordinate projects or activities and maintain accurate and timely administrative records

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience coordinating events venue operations patron service operations or related activities
- Experience recruiting training scheduling supervising and evaluating employees student workers volunteers or event staff
- Experience with ticketing systems such as Audience View
- Experience with venue management systems such as Artifax
- Experience managing rental or client-based events
- Experience in a performing arts center university venue conference center or similar public assembly facility
- Experience overseeing concessions retail or ancillary revenue operations
- Emergency management CPR or First Aid certification
