The Software Engineering Discipline is seeking an Associate Director SW Engineering - Patriot Software & Training Devices (SW & TD) Cyber Cross Product Team Lead (CPTL) within the Land & Air Defense Systems (LADS) business area.

This position is a full-time onsite role in Tewksbury MA.

What You Will Do

The Patriot Cyber CPTL will support multiple contracts for new development and maintenance of the Patriot Product Line (PPL). PPL is a multi-year program with the Integrated Fire Mission Command (IFMC) serving as the contracting agency. Functionally this role will report to the Software Product Assurance Centers Software Security Sensors and Effectors Department within the Software Engineering discipline.

The Patriot Cyber CPTL is responsible for driving flawless technical schedule and cost performance in support of the CPTL manages an annual budget of $11M working across multiple engineering disciplines with emphasis on systems and software engineering.

This CPTL role requires direct and frequent collaboration with Raytheon Leadership Program Offices across the Patriot portfolio IFMC and Patriot Partner customer Cyber CPTL must be able to clearly communicate status issues and resolutions to executive leadership on matters that significantly impact the addition to tactical execution the Cyber CPTL will be expected to influence customer road maps and provide vision/strategy to modernize the PPL infrastructure in alignment with long-term goals of Raytheon engineering and the LADS business area.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Bachelors Degree in STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) and 12 years of engineering experience in embedded software engineering.

• Solid understanding of Missile Defense Agency (MDA) missions MDA radars and all components of a modern phased array radar

• Prior experience as an Engineering leader of large multi-disciplinary teams

• Expertise in one or more of the following: Software engineering design development production system integration verification and qualification

• Prior experience working and leading in Agile Scrum environments

• Prior experience in Earned Value Management (EVMS)

• Prior experience managing DoD proposals over $10Million to support large scale strategic growth efforts

• Experience managing multiple priorities in a complex environment

• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Solid understanding of Patriot System

• Demonstrated leader of Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in Hardware Software Systems Engineering or Production

• Strong interpersonal skills working in a team environment with positive interaction

• Demonstrated history of mentoring and apprenticing junior engineers

• Very strong written and oral communication skills to communicate clearly with all levels of team and leadership

• Experience managing technical progress vs cost/schedule for large engineering teams

• Proactive comfortable working in a fast-paced multi-tiered environment

• Proven track record of credibility with customers

• Expert at using EVMS to manage program execution

• Experience in IPDS and CMMI-5 compliant Gate Reviews and Tracking Books

• Frequent travel to support program meetings and assessments

• Experience working on a development program using agile/scrum and in DevSecOps/Automation

The salary range for this role is 157200 USD - 298800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
