Software Guidance & Assistance Inc. (SGA) is searching for a Patient Services Coordinator for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Healthcare clients in Oakland CA .

Responsibilities :

• Responsible for the scheduling and coordination of diagnostic and interventional imaging patients while validating eligibility and authorization prior to care.
• Validate referrals/orders
• Follows customer services guidelines in greeting and assisting patient with appointments directions and scheduling
• Takes information from emergency calls stat request for imaging troubleshooting for patients providers and inter departments coordination for patient care in imaging and answer general inquiries.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills :

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Two years (or equivalent) of full time clerical experience.
• Imaging / clinical scheduling
• Epic experience
• Basic analytical problem solving skills.
• Basic knowledge in Medical Terminology ICD-10 CPT codes eligibility and Authorizations standards for diagnostic and interventional imaging exams and procedures.
• In depth knowledge of different laboratory values with ability to correspond appropriate lab values with appropriate imaging procedures.
• Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word Outlook Excel PowerPoint).
• Correct business English including spelling grammar and punctuation.
• Current office administrative practices and procedures.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of individuals from various socioeconomic ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Good interpersonal organizational prioritization time management skills.

Preferred Skills :

• Associates degree or higher.
• Preferred imaging background
