Virginia Oral & Facial Surgery is looking for a motivated Patient Service Representativeto join our team. Our culture fosters family purposeful work individual accountability and execution. Were looking for a self-starter interested in working in a fast-past and dynamic oral surgery environment to help promote exceptional patient service. This role is responsible for creating a positive patient experience and building a positive work environment. Prior experience in a medical or dental practice working with insurances is required for this role.
What Youll Do:
- Confirm and update patient identification demographic and insurance information.
- Prepare patient charts and documentation for upcoming appointments.
- Perform all check-in and check-out functions including collecting necessary information and payments.
- Obtain patient consents/authorizations and process insurance pre-authorizations and referrals.
- Answer incoming calls promptly document messages and route inquiries to appropriate personnel.
- Schedule reschedule and coordinate patient appointments as needed.
- Maintain accurate and organized medical records.
- Support overall front-office operations and assist with other duties as assigned.
What Youll Need:
- Two (2) years of customer service experience required.
- Experience in a medical or dental practice required.
- Knowledge of insurance processes preferred.
- Ability to multitask.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
