Patient Service Representative

Baystate Health Western Massachusettss premier healthcare provider and home to Baystate Medical Practices the largest multispecialty group in the region is looking for a Patient Service Representative to join our Rehab team in Longmeadow.

SCHEDULE:

• Part Time - 20 hrs

• M-F alternating shifts: 6:45am -10:45am and 3 -7pm

• No weekends or Holidays

LOCATION:

• Dwight Rd. Longmeadow MA

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

• Multi-Disciplinary Outpatient Rehabilitation practice servicing Western MA for over 15 years.

• Gain Experience in the healthcare industry to include patient registration scheduling insurance authorization and billing.

• Collaborative work environment provides a positive patient and employee experience and is demonstrated through high patient satisfaction and employee engagement scores.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Baystate Healths Patient Service Representatives perform a variety of different tasks throughout the day. This includes greeting patients check in and check out and requesting copays. Responsibilities also include verifying insurances answering telephones and faxing medical documents.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Requirements:

High School diploma or GED

Preferred:

Great interpersonal skills and able to work in a fast-paced environment a MUST.

Medical terminology keyboard Microsoft office products schedule systems medical records (electronic and paper) billing basic math language reading and writing customer service.

Experience in a medical office setting preferred.
