After successfully completing a training period and maintaining performance metrics this role offers a hybrid work schedule providing the flexibility to work both remotely and on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Worklist Management: Efficiently manage and prioritize a high-volume worklist of patients due for Nurse Annual Wellness Visits ensuring all tasks are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule wellness visits with the appropriate practices ensuring seamless and timely booking to meet patient and organizational needs.
- Eligibility Verification: Confirm patient eligibility for wellness services to guarantee accurate scheduling and compliance with healthcare guidelines.
- Patient Outreach & Communication: Professionally engage with patients over the phone to provide appointment options confirm scheduling details and share any necessary pre-appointment instructions.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to streamline scheduling workflows resolve issues and maintain smooth coordination across departments.
- Accurate Documentation: Enter and maintain detailed up-to-date patient information and appointment data in the electronic health record (EHR) system with precision.
- Focused Administrative Support: Operate in a fully administrative capacity supporting scheduling and coordination efforts without direct clinical interaction with patients.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a Patient Services Representative (PSR) or similar healthcare administrative role preferred.
- Knowledge: Strong familiarity with medical terminology insurance verification processes and appointment scheduling systems.
- Skills: Exceptional organizational skills attention to detail and the ability to manage a large workload efficiently.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and internal teams.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems; Soarian experience strongly preferred.
- Teamwork: A proactive collaborative approach with the ability to work independently while meeting team goals.
