Patient Reimbursement Specialist

• Audit payments from commercial and workers compensation carriers for consistency with contracted fee schedule and follow up with carriers as appropriate to resolve underpayments
• Conduct follow-up inquiries regarding missing insurance payments
• Correct and resubmit denied claims
• Process written appeals
• Track denial/payment trends
• Communicate with staff and patients to resolve payment issues
• Answer billing questions for patients and implement solutions to remedy issues
• Process patient credit card payments
• Data entry
• Verifying current personal and financial information
• Maintaining patient charts and electronic medical records
• Collecting posting and depositing patient payments
• Faxing filing and performing any other duties as assigned

Qualifications :

• High school degree or equivalent
• Excellent in-person and phone customer service
• Proficient in Word or Excel
• Close attention to detail
• Great time management and organizational skills 
• Be available for a full-time schedule Monday - Friday 40 hour work week
• Team player attitude and energetic with a focus on excellent customer service
• Previous experience working in a medical/physical therapy billing role is preferred but not required.

Additional Information :

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $25.00-$30.00. Pay is based on various factors including relevant experience knowledge skills other job-related qualifications and geography. Additionally this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. The Companys incentive compensation plan is subject to change.
