Medical/Surgical Unit-3P1-Trauma CareThe Trauma Care Unit at HonorHealth Deer Valley Medical Center is a growing high-acuity inpatient unit dedicated to caring for telemetry and med-surg trauma patients admitted primarily from the ICU and Emergency Department. As the unit continues to expand it now features 39 single-occupancy beds across two care areas including a newly expanded fourth-floor space licensed for full telemetry with team members supporting both locations based on patient care needs. This position is ideal for individuals beginning their healthcare careers who are looking to gain valuable hands-on patient care experience in a fast-paced hospital setting. Candidates with hospital experience Behavioral Health Technician backgrounds or a passion for caring for diverse patient populations are encouraged to apply. Success in this role requires strong interpersonal skills empathy patience and the ability to build meaningful connections with patients while working collaboratively as part of a dedicated multidisciplinary team.
This position is afull-time Night shift working with 3-12 hour shifts from 6:00 PM6:30 AM.
We offer self-scheduling for shift and weekend coverage. Scheduled workdays may vary as there are no set or fixed days. Weekend and Holiday Rotations are required in this role. Weekend shift differentials are offered along with evening and night shift differentials where applicable.

Responsibilities:
- Provides and collaborates direct patient care services under the direct supervisor of a licensed caregiver. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to personal care activities of daily living vital signs intake and output ambulation interventions and implementation of selected portions of the patient care plan as directed under supervisor of nurse.
- Assists observes and reports changes in patient condition to licensed caregiver and maintains accurate medical record documentation in relation to the care delivered.
- Addresses and/or directs questions or concerns from patients families caregivers or health care team members.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Other Completion of Block 1 in Nursing OR Medical Assistant (MA) OR Nursing Assistant (NA) OR Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) OR Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) OR 6 months of experience in the healthcare setting within the last year Required
- 6 months in acute care experience. Preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification Required
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Certification Preferred
- Emergency Medical Technician - Basic (EMT) - License Emergency Medical Tech Preferred
