Patient Care Technician Procedure Surgery Care (PCT)

Job Overview

As a PCT in the SDCC/Procedure Unit youll support nurses in caring for patients before and after surgical and diagnostic procedures. Youll assist with hygiene mobility vital signs documentation and provide calm compassionate support as patients prepare for or recover from procedures. Your steady presence and attention to detail help ensure patients receive safe highâquality care in a fastâmoving teamâcentered environment.

What Youll Do

• Assist with bathing oral care toileting and linens
• Support safe mobility repositioning and transfers
• Monitor and record vital signs
• Document patient information accurately
• This role includes exposure to bodily fluids and sensitive patient situations
• Safely lift/move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation

Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) within six months of hire
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of required PCT classes for the unit
