Patient Care Tech - Outpatient Surgery

Full Time First Shift - 6a-2:30p

Facilitates patient care by performing specific task and support functions as delegated by the Registered Nurse or designee. Collaborates with all team members to provide a safe environment for patients visitors and associates.

Job Duties:

• Transport patients according to the designated method and adhering to scheduled times to and from diagnostic and treatment areas.
• Performs phlebotomy/clinical laboratory respiratory duties cardiology duties and vital signs as listed on skills checklist.
• Performing clerical receptionist and supply duties for the nursing unit complementing nursing care: computer system admissions transfers and dismissals.
• Perform complete and detailed medication histories during the check-in process.
• Maintain stock and removed expired patient supplies within the department and specialty carts.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma/GED

Preferred Requirements:

• Recent PCT experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Previous phlebotomy/point of care testing
• EKG experience
