Position SummaryAnswer calls in a courteous professional efficient and prompt mannerPre-registering new patients into the Epic EMR systemSchedule patient appointments using the Epic EMR systemVerify patient insurance/benefits as appropriateRespond to patient inquiries and complaintsDirect patient phone calls to the appropriate destination when beyond scopeComplete outbound calls to patients to schedule future appointmentsReturn patient calls/messages and provide additional information as necessaryAdhere to all HIPAA and ACCESS policies regarding patient privacyOther duties as assignedRequirementsHigh school diploma or GED Two years relevant experience in customer service (health care preferred)Willing to work flexible hoursBasic proficiency in computer skills Medical terminology knowledge preferredBilingual (English and Spanish) preferredScheduleTraining for 4-6 weeks on site at 3450 S Archer Ave Chicago IL 60608 from 8:30am to 5pm M-F. Potential opportunity to work remotely after successfully completing training. Regular shift after training will be 10:30am to 7pm M-F and rotating Saturdays 7:30am to 4pm.
