Patient Care Associate II

SIGN ON/ RETENTION BONUS -Totaling $3000 for Full-Time Patient Care Associates

*Bonus Eligible* Department: Emergency
Work Hours: 40 hours per week daylight or evening hours alternating weekend and holidays

Provides direct patient care appropriate to age culture and developmental needs under the direction of the Professional Nurse. Works closely with patients to provide physical assistance with daily living tasks such as dressing bathing feeding toileting vital signs catheter care answering call lights assisting with ambulation turning and ensuring patient safety. Technical skills may include obtaining 12 lead EKG setting up respiratory equipment multiple Point of Care test(s) monitoring bladder catheterization venipuncture and transcribing orders.

Requirements

High school graduate or equivalent. Successful completion of a nursing assistant program (proof of completion required) or a nursing student after successful completion of their first quarter/semester of nursing school or an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered. Excellent bedside manner and customer service skills. BCLS.

Successful completion of applicable clearances as outlined in Human Resources policy HR-106 within 90 days of commencing employment.

Preferred

Previous nursing assistant experience CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) Computer skills.
