Patient Care Assistant (Nursing AssistantHUC) Float Pool

The Patient Care Assistant General Resource Team (Float Pool) position works under the direction of a Registered Nurse to assist in delivery of patient care including personal hygiene and daily activities transporting patients and equipment setting up and maintaining patient rooms and reordering/stocking of supplies. Responsible for coordination of communications and procedures for the nursing unit process electronic orders and assembling patients charts and other necessities.

Work Schedule: .6 FTE (24 hours per week) working day shift (7am-3:30pm). This position requires you work every other weekend and holiday.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have one of the following:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • HS Diploma in progress and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry
  • Equivalent work experience in lieu of HS diploma or equivalent may be considered
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• CNA experience
• HUC or unit clerk experience
• Microsoft office experience
• Prior experience in acute care or hospital setting
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry
