About the Role:
As a Patient Access Coordinator you will be one of the first points of contact for patients beginning or continuing their care at Roswell this important role youll help guide patients through the healthcare journey by coordinating appointments gathering information communicating with care teams and ensuring patients are prepared for their visits.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping others thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a talent for organization and problem-solving. Your work will help ensure patients receive timely access to care while creating a positive and supportive experience from the very first interaction.

The starting annual salary for this position is $42641 and this can include a full comprehensive benefits package.


What Youll Do:
In this role you will:
Serve as a key point of contact for patients families referring providers and internal care teams
Coordinate the intake and registration process for new and returning patients
Gather and review patient information to support appointment scheduling and care coordination
Schedule clinic visits consultations diagnostic testing and other services as needed
Communicate with referring physicians and healthcare providers to obtain necessary information and records
Help patients navigate the appointment process and answer questions about next steps
Coordinate with multidisciplinary care teams to ensure a seamless patient experience
Assist with hospital admissions and other access-related activities
Verify insurance information and support financial clearance processes
Maintain accurate records and ensure timely documentation of patient information

Required Education and Experience

1. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time experience in patient registration patient scheduling or insurance verification; or
2. High School diploma or High School Equivalency diploma and successful completion of a Patient Access Representative traineeship at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (Roswell Park).

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
