Job Summary
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience: Participate in Preceptor training/experience post-hire.
Skills Knowledge Abilities:
- Interpersonal organizational and analytical skills required.
- Must possess ability to work in stressful situations meet deadlines and perform daily responsibilities with consistent accuracy.
- Ability to use logic good judgment and be able to rapidly identify and initiate corrective actions when problems arise.
- Models collaborative behavior and communicates positively and professionally.
- Must be able to communicate effectively providing good written and oral direction to caregivers.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients physicians clinical and non-clinical hospital staff and insurance companies.
- Demonstrates proficiency in Patient Access procedures.
- Ability to embrace change by adapting to job duty variances and following leadership direction.
- Takes responsibility for actions and strives for excellence.
- Engages in continuing education and seeks new knowledge and skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience: 3 years experience with medical terminology insurance plans verification of benefits authorization and pre-determination.
Physical Requirements:
- Position requires the ability to push pull and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis.
- Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
- Position requires the ability to grip reach bend kneel twist and squat to perform duties.
