Patient Access Registration Rep PD

Completes patient registrations/pre-registration processes following department procedures using identified technology systems. Processes include obtaining accurate demographic insurance and patient liability information. Responsible for working with multiple department/hospital and web-based systems.

What you will do

• Performs complete and accurate pre-registrations registration and admission functions

• Verifies insurance requirements obtains and understands insurance benefits

• Ensures that all entries concerning demographic financial and advanced directives are completed

• Collects non-covered fees

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum High school or equivalent

• One year experience in an accredited hospital or physicians office preferred

• Strong interpersonal communication and interview skills

• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computer systems and computer devices

• Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurances

• TRAINING/ORIENTATION IS 2 WEEKS MON-FRI 8A-4:30P including time in Springfield MA
