As our Pathology Supervisor you will help laboratory personnel and clinical educators maintain compliance quality standards and high-quality education services so they can achieve operational excellence and effective clinical outcomes.
Every day you will manage laboratory operations and oversee clinical education initiatives. You will be expected to exercise authority over personnel decisions establish effective scheduling manage workflows and develop staff.
To be successful in this role you must possess strong leadership technical and scientific oversight capabilities and the ability to develop and implement policy and standard operating procedures.
- Supervises coaches and reviews the performance of laboratory personnel to ensure adherence to relevant policies and ethics
- Oversees designated laboratory day to day operations and exercises authority over personnel decisions
- Analyzes and interprets laboratory results in accordance with established laboratory work processes
- Administers laboratory inventories such as supplies equipment and consumables
- Resolving technical problems and ensuring that remedial actions are taken whenever test systems deviate from the laboratorys established performance specifications
- Identifying training needs and assuring that each individual performing tests receives regular in service training and education appropriate for the type and complexity of the laboratory services performed
- Bachelors degree in biological or chemical sciences as defined by CLIA.
- Minimum of five years at a moderate or high complexity laboratory
- MT or CLS or MLS certification required ASCP or equivalent
