Contract: 13 weeks
Schedule: Monday Friday 8:00 AM 4:00 PM

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Pathologists Assistant for a day shift assignment in Carbondale Illinois. This role will support pathology operations by assisting with gross descriptions dissection of surgical tissues specimen submission and clinical documentation.
Responsibilities
Assist with gross description and dissection of surgical tissue specimens
Submit specimens for histological and other laboratory testing
Summarize patient medical history as needed for pathology review
Perform procedures within the specialty under supervising physician direction
Communicate effectively with physicians laboratory staff and hospital teams
Maintain quality accuracy and compliance in pathology documentation
Follow laboratory safety standards and facility procedures
Requirements
Masters degree in Health Science or Pathology required
ASCP certification required
Minimum 2 years of Pathology Assistant experience
EPIC experience preferred
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs as needed
Strong attention to detail communication and documentation skills
Ability to work Monday Friday day shift with no call requirement
