In this role you will:

• Oversees the day-to-day operations of the Pathologist Assistant Department and establishes guidelines to prioritize work production evaluate effectiveness and improve the quality of services provided.
• Develops and implements laboratory policies procedures manuals continuing education programs and safety initiatives to improve operating efficiency and effectiveness of medical services.
• Perform a vital part of the patient care process through preparation gross description and dissection of human tissue surgical specimens
• Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement effective solutions
• Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards
• Champion safety compliance and quality control

All you need is:

• Masters degree; Completion of a Pathologists Assistant Program accredited by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP).
• ASCP Certification Required.
• 5 years of supervisory experience
• Strong reading writing and analytical skills
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment including but not limited to: telephones computers automated analyzers centrifuges microscopes manual and automated pipettes and audible alarms.
