Pathologist (APCP)

Lighthouse Lab Services is partnered with an established physician-owned private practice in Wichita Falls Texas who is seeking an AP/CP Board Certified or Board Eligible Pathologist to join their team.

The group consists of six full-time pathologists providing comprehensive anatomic and clinical pathology services to hospitals and outreach clients throughout north central Texas and southern Oklahoma. Were looking for a collaborative physician who values high-quality patient care strong relationships with colleagues and clinicians and the opportunity to build a long-term career within a respected private practice.

Practice Overview:

• Approximately 25000 surgical pathology and cytology cases annually
• Diverse hospital-based and outreach pathology practice
• Clinical laboratory medical directorship opportunities
• No autopsy responsibilities
• Utilizes Epic Beaker and Pathagility reporting systems
• Collegial physician-owned private practice with long-term stability

The Role Youll Play:

• Sign out a diverse mix of surgical pathology and cytology cases
• Participate in clinical laboratory medical directorship responsibilities across multiple facilities
• Collaborate closely with fellow pathologists laboratory leadership and referring physicians
• Contribute to quality initiatives and practice development
• Participate in a shared call schedule:
  • One weekday evening call per week
  • Weekend call rotation shared among five pathologists

What Were Looking For

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
• Successful completion of an accredited residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology (AP/CP)
• AP/CP Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Texas and Oklahoma prior to start date
• Fellowship training in Surgical Pathology Cytopathology or another surgical pathology subspecialty is preferred but not required
• Excellent diagnostic communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to practicing high-quality patient-centered pathology in a collaborative team environment
