A premier national law firm is seeking a Patent Litigation Associate Attorney to join its Houston office.

This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing leading technology companies manufacturers financial institutions and innovative businesses in sophisticated patent litigation matters.

25 years of patent litigation or intellectual property litigation experience gained at a sophisticated law firm

Experience handling patent infringement litigation in federal courts including competitor disputes and matters involving non-practicing entities (NPEs)

Experience representing clients across industries such as technology software telecommunications financial services manufacturing life sciences or engineering

Experience managing all phases of litigation including drafting pleadings dispositive motions discovery claim construction depositions expert discovery trial preparation and appeals

Experience with PTAB proceedings inter partes review (IPR) or post-grant proceedings is a plus

Technical background in engineering computer science electrical engineering mechanical engineering physics chemistry biology or another scientific discipline is preferred but not required

Strong legal research writing analytical and oral advocacy skills

Ability to independently manage sophisticated litigation matters while maintaining significant client interaction

Excellent academic credentials

J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required

Texas bar admission required or ability to become admitted

Nationally recognized Intellectual Property practice
