Job Summary

Position Overview:

The PASS Facilitator provides structured academic behavioral and social-emotional support to students through restorative practices and evidence-based programming. The facilitator supports students in developing emotional regulation responsible decision-making accountability communication skills and strategies for maintaining academic progress. Core programming includes PASS curriculum components grounded in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Project Toward No Drug Abuse (PTND).

This position ensures students remain connected to academic instruction by coordinating with home school staff and supporting continued progress during program placement. Working within a team-based model the facilitator responds flexibly to student needs while maintaining a structured consistent and supportive environment focused on accountability restoration and student growth. Consistent and punctual daily attendance is essential to maintaining program stability and effectiveness.

Success in this role requires strong communication flexibility professionalism and the ability to balance academic support with social-emotional guidance in a structured non-traditional educational setting. The ideal candidate is highly organized self-directed and able to work independently while maintaining strong accountability.

The facilitator must proactively build respectful and meaningful relationships with students and families while maintaining clear behavioral and academic expectations. Strong classroom management skills are essential including the ability to establish and maintain structure set firm boundaries and foster a supportive environment without compromising program integrity. The facilitator is also expected to contribute positively to program culture and provide support to colleagues and students as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in counseling social work psychology education or a related human services field
  • Experience working in a school setting
  • Experience working with adolescents
  • Valid Drivers License

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Training or certification in substance use prevention or intervention
  • Experience delivering structured social emotional learning or evidence-based behavioral curricula (DBT preferred)
  • Experience in alternative education restorative practices or school-based intervention programs
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) ability strongly preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate PASS curriculum to support student growth in emotional regulation decision-making and personal responsibility
  • Support students in maintaining academic progress by coordinating with home school teachers and reinforcing assigned coursework
  • Provide targeted academic support and monitor student progress to ensure coursework completion
  • Create and maintain a safe structured and supportive learning environment
  • Demonstrate consistent professional responsibility including punctuality preparedness and adherence to assigned schedules
  • Establish and maintain effective classroom management practices that promote a respectful structured and productive environment
  • Build positive professional relationships with students while maintaining appropriate boundaries clear expectations and accountability
  • Facilitate restorative conversations and reflection opportunities that support behavior growth and personal insight
  • Collaborate and communicate with home school program staff and parents/guardians to support student success
  • Implement program expectations and district policies consistently to ensure fidelity of curriculum and program practices
  • Supervise students during instructional and noninstructional times
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of attendance participation interventions student progress and required program data
  • Support transition planning to help students successfully re-enter their home school environment
  • Provide small group and individualized student supports as needed
  • Participate as an active member of the PASS team to ensure consistent program implementation operations safety and student success
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Additional Information:

  • This is a temporary full-time 10-month school-based position. Continuation of the position is contingent upon grant funding.
  • Schedule: 40 hours per week MondayFriday 7:45 AM 3:45 PM with some flexibility.
  • This position aligns with the CCS academic calendar for students.
  • Employees in this position will be subject to a 90 day introductory period. At the conclusion of this period a formal performance review will be conducted. Continued employment is contingent upon a successful performance review assessing effectiveness reliability professionalism and alignment of program expectations.
  • The facilitator is expected to adhere to all Board Policies.
