Job Summary
**Position Overview: Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner (NP)**
- **Coverage Period:** Immediate start for 3 months with potential for extension.
- **Practice Setting:** Outpatient clinic.-
**Schedule:** Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM standard 8-hour shifts with the possibility of Saturday coverage as needed.
- **Clinical Responsibilities:** - Deliver comprehensive family medicine services including routine physical examinations womens health and chronic disease management (focusing on hypertension and diabetes).
- Address same-day urgent care needs (e.g. injuries acute illnesses).
- Preference for candidates capable of working with all age groups although applications from adult-focused practitioners will be considered.
- Manage patient communications review lab results and handle medication refills.
- May involve conducting telehealth or video consultations.
- **On-Call Requirements:** No on-call duties.
- **Patient Volume:** Expected to manage approximately 20-22 patients per day.
- **Team Composition:** Supported by a full complement of healthcare staff including registered nurses (RNs) medical assistants (MAs) and licensed vocational nurses (LVNs).
- **Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System:** EPIC; candidates must have recent EPIC experience (within the last 1-2 years) to qualify.
- **Credentialing Timeline:** Estimated 45-60 days from application submission.
- **Required Credentials:** Board Certification BLS (AHA certification) DEA registration.
- **Licensure Requirements:** Candidates must possess an active Oregon nursing license; out-of-state licensure candidates will not be considered.
