Partner-Track Associate Attorney Plaintiff Personal Injury

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Partner-Track Associate Attorney to join our growing plaintiff personal injury practice. This is a unique opportunity for an accomplished litigator who is looking to build a long-term career with a boutique firm that values quality over volume and is committed to developing future leaders.

In this role you will manage a diverse caseload of plaintiff personal injury matters from intake through resolution including motor vehicle accidents commercial trucking claims premises liability and other significant injury cases. As your practice grows you will gain increasing exposure to catastrophic injury and wrongful death litigation while working closely with an experienced trial attorney committed to your professional development.

This position is designed for attorneys who are motivated to build a book of business take ownership of their cases and pursue a clear path toward partnership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage plaintiff personal injury cases from initial intake through settlement trial or appeal.
  • Develop litigation strategies and oversee all phases of case progression.
  • Conduct client consultations and maintain strong client relationships throughout representation.
  • Draft pleadings motions discovery requests legal briefs and settlement demands.
  • Handle depositions mediations hearings arbitrations and trial preparation.
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and opposing counsel while maximizing client outcomes.
  • Collaborate with experts investigators medical providers and litigation support professionals.
  • Participate in complex catastrophic injury and wrongful death matters as opportunities arise.
  • Maintain organized case files while managing deadlines and multiple litigation matters.
  • Develop and grow a personal book of business through networking referrals and business development initiatives.
  • Work closely with firm leadership on case strategy trial preparation and long-term practice development.

Qualifications:

  • Active license to practice law in Texas and membership in good standing with the Texas State Bar.
  • Minimum of 6 years of substantive civil litigation experience.
  • Demonstrated first-chair trial experience in civil litigation.
  • Strong background in motion practice dispositive motions complex pleadings and litigation strategy.
  • Experience handling depositions mediations hearings and negotiations independently.
  • Plaintiff personal injury experience preferred; strong defense litigators interested in transitioning to plaintiff-side litigation are encouraged to apply.
  • Excellent legal writing research analytical negotiation and advocacy skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities with a client-focused approach.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple litigation matters while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated integrity professionalism accountability and sound judgment.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a genuine desire to develop a personal book of business.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative high-performing legal team.
