POSITION SUMMARY
St. Vincent de Paul is seeking a self-starter who would like to kick start their career in a fun and dynamic work environment. Your excellent customer service skills keen eye for detail and friendly hard-working demeanor will make you stand out. As the Part Time Stock Associate you will be responsible for:
- Receive unload and inspect incoming merchandise
- Remove damaged expired or defective merchandise and report issues to management
- Operate stoking equipment safely
- Pricing merchandise in accordance with established procedures
- Providing great experience for customers while donating shopping and checking-out purchases.
- Maintaining a clean and orderly store and processing environment
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management
We are looking for people who:
- Comfortable with physical work including moving furniture
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to stand walk bend reach squat and climb for extended periods
- Ability to push and pull carts or pallet jacks
- Enjoy detailed oriented work
- Are diligent and hard working
- Organized
- Can go above and beyond to meet the needs of customers
- Reliable and on time
- Previous retail and cash handling experience is a plus
This is a part-time position (2 3 days per week plus weekends). The selected individual must be available between 10:00 am 6:00 pm Monday Sunday. This is an active job; frequent walking standing bending lifting and squatting will be a part of the daily routine. Must be able to lift to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
