JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

A short-term part-time researcher in the Groh Laboratory at Penn State will assist with field and laboratory activities supporting a silvopasture research study focused on soil and water quality. Responsibilities will include collecting processing and analyzing soil and water samples; maintaining accurate records of sample handling and data collection; preparing samples for laboratory analysis; and assisting with quality assurance and quality control procedures. The researcher will support ongoing investigations of how integrated tree-livestock grazing systems influence soil health nutrient dynamics water quality and watershed processes. This position provides hands-on experience in environmental and agricultural research while contributing to interdisciplinary efforts to advance sustainable land management practices.

BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES

Employment with the University will require successful completion of background check(s) in accordance with University policies. This position requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid drivers license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
