Part-Time SAT Tutor

Were seeking a knowledgeable motivated SAT Tutor to help high school students prepare for the SAT including math reading and writing/grammar sections. This is an in-person tutoring role with flexible hours. Ideal for teachers substitute teachers test prep specialists education majors student teachers experienced tutors or anyone with strong SAT scores and a passion for helping students succeed.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized 1:1 SAT prep tutoring for high school students
• Cover all sections of the SAT including math reading comprehension and writing/grammar
• Teach test-taking strategies pacing and content review tailored to each students needs
• Track progress through practice tests and adjust instruction based on results
• Build student confidence and reduce test anxiety heading into exam day
• Submit session reports and communicate progress with families and our office

Qualifications

• Strong command of SAT content across math reading and/or writing (strong personal SAT score or prior test prep experience a plus)
• Prior tutoring or teaching experience preferred
• Reliable transportation for in-home sessions in Carlsbad Oceanside and surrounding areas
• Professional punctual and dependable work habits
• Minimum 3-month commitment
• After-school availability (typically 37pm)
• Bachelors degree or current enrollment in an education-related program preferred
