For over 25 years A Good Start Preschool has provided exceptional early childhood education rooted in faith family and whole-child development. We are looking for a part-time teacher to support our classrooms during the afternoon hours.

This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who loves children and is looking for a consistent meaningful part-time role in a warm and supportive environment.

This position focuses on afternoon classroom support helping guide children through rest time afternoon activities and end-of-day routines.

Youll work alongside our teaching team to ensure children feel safe cared for and engaged as they transition through the second half of their day.

A great candidate is someone who:

• Loves working with young children
• Is patient calm and nurturing
• Can help maintain a peaceful environment during rest/nap time
• Is dependable and arrives consistently on time
• Works well with a team and takes direction easily
• Communicates kindly with children and staff
• Values a positive faith-based environment

• No prior teaching experience required
• Experience with children (babysitting volunteering parenting etc.) is a plus
• Must be dependable and responsible
• Must pass a criminal background check

• Assist teachers during afternoon routines and transitions
• Help supervise rest/nap time and maintain a calm environment
• Support children during playtime and classroom activities
• Assist with snack time and cleanup
• Help with end-of-day routines and classroom organization
• Ensure childrens safety at all times

• Part-time Monday through Friday
• Afternoon hours (generally early afternoon through closing)
