Part Time Medical Assistant

About The Role

We are seeking a dedicated Part Time Medical Assistant to support our fastpaced Medical Assistant department across our four South Bay this hourly parttime role you will work closely with providers and clinical staff to deliver highquality patientcentered care. The ideal candidate is proficient in EKGs venipuncture injections and obtaining vital signs and is comfortable working in a dynamic environment with varying patient needs. This position requires schedule flexibility including availability Monday through Sunday and the ability to travel between our South Bay locations as needed.

What Youll Do

• Perform clinical tasks including EKGs venipuncture injections and accurate measurement and documentation of vital signs
• Prepare exam rooms equipment and supplies to ensure a clean safe and efficient clinical environment
• Room patients obtain medical histories and update electronic health records in an accurate and timely manner
• Assist providers during examinations procedures and treatments as directed
• Follow established clinical protocols infection control procedures and safety guidelines at all times
• Support patient flow in a fastpaced setting to help minimize wait times and maximize provider efficiency
• Provide clear courteous communication to patients regarding procedures instructions and followup care
• Coordinate patient scheduling checkin and checkout processes as needed to support frontoffice operations
• Travel between our four South Bay clinics based on staffing and patient volume needs
• Collaborate with nurses providers and administrative staff to ensure a positive teamoriented work environment

Qualifications

• Fluency in English with strong verbal and written communication skills
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent training
• Current Medical Assistant certification or registration (or eligibility as required by state regulations)
• Demonstrated proficiency in performing EKGs venipuncture injections and obtaining vital signs in a clinical setting
• Experience working in a fastpaced medical office clinic or similar healthcare environment
• Ability to work a flexible schedule Monday through Sunday based on clinic needs
• Willingness and ability to travel between four South Bay clinic locations as required
• Strong attention to detail organization and documentation skills including use of electronic health records
• Commitment to patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and all clinic policies and procedures
• Professional teamoriented attitude with the ability to interact respectfully and empathetically with patients and staff
