Part-Time Maintenance Staff

JOB SUMMARY:
The Part-Time Maintenance Staff at The Grove is responsible for performing a wide variety of general labor tasks including cleaning maintenance repairs painting construction landscaping and seasonal duties at The Grove and are responsible for performing the following essential functions including but not limited to:

• Performs general building maintenance and repair.
• Assists with construction projects.
• Cleans the interiors of buildings thoroughly (washing & waxing floors windows wiping walls cleaning bathrooms & kitchen areas etc.).
• Performs all seasonal work assignments (e.g. snow removal salting etc.).
• Completes landscaping activities (planting mowing raking chipping etc.).
• Performs set-up and tear-down for programs and special events.
• Removes garbage and disposes of properly.
• Minor maintenance of all tools equipment machinery and mechanical systems as necessary.
• Routinely inspects furnishings and landscaping (walkways parking lots benches etc.).
• Identifies and repairs or reports any failures or hazards.
• Secures each location before leaving site checking security light fixtures fire extinguishers thermostats locks and related items.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: At least 1-2 years relevant experience.
• Certifications / Memberships: Professional certification(s) and/or active membership in a professional association desirable.
• Licenses: Illinois drivers license required.

SCHEDULING & PAY:

• This is a part-time hourly position.
• The hours are generally Monday Wednesday and Friday 8:00 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. with additional evening and weekend work as needed.
• The anticipated compensation is $18/hr.
