Part-Time Maintenance Engineer

The Part-Time Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the overall upkeep of the hotels physical facilities mechanical systems and equipment to ensure a safe comfortable and well-maintained environment for guests and staff. This role involves performing routine preventive maintenance responding to service requests and supporting the hotels operations to maintain Hampton Inn brand standards.

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of HVAC plumbing electrical and mechanical systems.

• Complete minor repairs on guest rooms public areas and back-of-house spaces including painting carpentry and basic plumbing.

• Respond promptly to guest service requests and resolve maintenance issues with minimal disruption.

• Ensure all tools equipment and work areas are kept clean safe and organized.

• Monitor and maintain pool fitness and laundry equipment in compliance with safety and health regulations.

• Assist in maintaining fire safety systems alarms and emergency procedures.

• Track and log completed maintenance tasks parts used and report any recurring issues to management.

• Work collaboratively with hotel team members to support overall guest satisfaction.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification a plus.

• Prior maintenance experience in hotels commercial buildings or facilities preferred.

• Basic knowledge of plumbing electrical HVAC and general building systems.

• Ability to use hand tools power tools and diagnostic equipment safely.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. climb ladders and perform tasks requiring standing/walking for extended periods.

• Flexible availability including weekends evenings or holidays if needed.

• Schedule: Part-time (1525 hours per week; flexible shifts)
