Job Summary

Position: Elementary Paraeducator (General Education)

Location: Woodstock Elementary School

FTE: 0.2 FTE (2 mornings per week)

Reports To: Principal / Reading Teacher

Position Overview

Woodstock Elementary School is seeking a dedicated and organized General Education Paraeducator to support our early literacy program two mornings a week. This position plays a key role in student success by organizing reading instructional materials managing assessment data and delivering targeted 1:1 or small-group reading support under the direct guidance of our reading specialist and school administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct Student Support: Lead small-group and 1:1 reading interventions using provided instructional materials and lesson plans.
  • Assessment & Data Management: Assist with the setup collection and organization of reading assessment data and student progress monitoring records.
  • Instructional Organization: Prepare organize and maintain reading resources literacy kits and classroom materials needed for daily instruction.
  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with the reading teacher and administrative team to follow prescribed learning plans and track student growth.
  • Classroom Support: Maintain a positive safe and encouraging learning environment that fosters student confidence and engagement.
Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associates degree or higher preferred or passing score on the ParaPro Assessment).
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children ideally in an instructional or reading support capacity.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for managing instructional data and physical materials.
  • Basic proficiency with technology for data entry and material preparation.
  • Patience adaptability and strong communication skills.
Work Schedule & Hours

  • Part-time (0.2 FTE)
  • Schedule: Two mornings per week (exact days/times to be determined upon hire)
