Job Summary
Western Reserve Academy one of the nations premier boarding schools invites experienced dynamic and collaborative educators who are passionate about teaching Dance. Candidates should have the ability to inspire students and colleagues and the willingness to participate fully in all that is associated with a vibrant boarding school community.
Duties & Responsibilities
WRA strives to find the right balance of duties and responsibilities for each faculty member. Typical Expectations include:
- Teach three dance classes levels to be determined by individual strengths and the needs of the department.
- Support choreography and costume choices for two end of semester dance shows.
- Support tech week and performances for the dance shows the week of 11/30-12/5 and 5/2-5/8. Support clean up inventory
- Collaborate with lead dance and support dance teacher and show co-creators.
The ideal candidate possesses most or all of the following qualifications:
- Experience in dance instruction in jazz modern hip hop and ballet. Candidates are welcome to share any additional areas of expertise.
- Enthusiasm to engage and lead teen learners.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well with a team and independently.
- Evidence of ongoing professional development in dance instruction and education.
